About Our Client

Our Client is on a mission to improve healthcare by combining cutting-edge tech with user-centric design. Their AI-powered medical co-pilot integrates seamlessly with existing EHRs and improves provider efficiency by surfacing the most relevant data and automating routine clinical workflows. They’re proud to be deployed at many of the country’s largest health systems where their product improves physician experience, hospital efficiency, and care quality.

They are a tight-knit group of engineers, designers, and clinicians who share a passion for improving the healthcare industry. While they embrace remote work as a hybrid company, they enjoy meeting in their office in the Financial District to collaborate, brainstorm, or just hang out.

What You’ll Do

As their most experienced designer, you’ll be expected to set expectations and shape the organization as they grow. You’ll help mature their design system and processes to that of a world-class design organization. You’ll also be at the forefront of the healthcare industry as it transforms using AI to improve healthcare, and you’ll have the opportunity to have a huge impact.

Your focus will be on creating intuitive interfaces for complex medical data, optimizing user experiences across their web and mobile platforms, and collaborating closely with their engineering team to bring designs to life. You’ll also put your product management skills to work, conducting user interviews with doctors and other healthcare practitioners to gather insights and inform their product direction. Your role will be crucial in shaping their product roadmap and ensuring that they’re always aligned with user needs and market demands.

You’ll do great here if:

  • You have 6+ years of experience in UX/UI design across both web and mobile, with a portfolio showcasing your ability to tackle complex design challenges
  • You’ve been the lead designer on a particular product for multiple years
  • You have a strong understanding of latest design tools and practices, and are excited to share them with the team
  • You have experience in product management, particularly in conducting user interviews and translating insights into actionable product features
  • You’re comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment where priorities can shift quickly
  • You have a knack for simplifying complex information and creating intuitive user flows
  • You’re a great communicator who can articulate design decisions to both technical and non-technical team members

Even better if:

  • You have experience working in the healthcare sector or with healthcare data
  • You’re passionate about accessibility and ensuring their products are usable by all
  • You’re familiar with AI and machine learning concepts and how they can be applied to UX/UI design
  • You’re familiar with design systems and can help evolve theirs as they grow
  • You’ve worked on products that integrate with complex systems (like EHRs)
  • You have experience with user research methodologies beyond interviews (e.g., usability testing, surveys)
